What I Learned When Making My Baby Registry
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am so excited for you! So you find out your pregnant with your first baby, and you are SO excited to start your baby registry, but WHERE TO BEGIN!?
As a first-time mom, creating a baby registry can be overwhelming. However, it doesn't have to be! Here are a few things I’ve learned on this journey that I hope can help you make the most of this time that truly seems to fly by!
Based on personal experience, registering with three places is a great idea. It minimizes the burden of decision-making on the gift-givers and increases the chances of receiving the items you need.
With so many resources available, like Amazon, Target, and Babylist, you can easily create a registry that suits your needs. They will recommend all the top products. Not only do these sources offer a wide variety of products, but they also provide free gift bags just for creating a registry with them! And we LOVE FREE! I love the benefits of being able to try products before I commit to them because - what if we don’t love them?
To help you make the most of your registry, here included a video showcasing the gift bags from both Amazon and Target.
Check the bottom of this post for the Amazon Free bag!
Consider registering for items at different price points to accommodate guests with varying budgets
Don’t forget to include practical items like diapers, wipes, and feeding essentials. I definitely got carried away with the cute and cool products, and then quickly realized I had no diapers or diaper creams!
Check if you have duplicates. I accidentally added duplicates of items I thought I would want from different registries, and ended up getting them both. Though they probably won’t really know you had to return it, you really don’t want to have to go through the trouble - so double check those auto-inclusions if your registry has that.
Don't be afraid to ask for help from experienced parents or consult online resources for guidance. I don’t know what I would’ve done without my mom friends telling me “make sure to add this” or “you really won’t use this as much as you think” so that way you don’t waste space on items you really don’t need, and ensure you get the ones you do!
Once you do have it all made, don't hesitate to post the link to social media. I was so weary about it, but honestly, people are so busy, they want to send you something! So kindly just say "we are so excited to prepare for our sweet baby! I would love to share with you our baby registry if you would like to help us out!" or something like that!

Babylist may be one you’re not familiar with, and that truly is a great option as it is a one-stop-shop for items from many well-loved stores like Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel and H&M. Plus, they have a wonderful gift box that you won't want to miss out on!
Don't stress about creating your registry, let these resources help make the process a breeze! Once I realize what products I’m happy I registered for and ones I realized I haven’t used, I will post up another blog and vlog about them all !
This is such an exciting time! Enjoy every moment!
xoxo
